For the first time in three years, I don't have a speaking gig over the Labor Day break.
Yahoo!
Labor Day is an important day to take off, because you won't have another one until Thanksgiving -- and that will have some serious obligations attached to it most likely. Christmas is much the same, time working harder -- not time off.
This may be one of your last chances to take three full days off and recharge yourself for the Fall Turkey Trot (Sept - end of November). You'll probably be hustling to finish your annual plan and if you are charged, you just may make it.
Turn everything off today at 5pm and if possible, put on an autoresponder message on your email client that you'll be available again next Tuesday. Your family will thank you and you will thank yourself.
I'm a Type A worker. I've learned through the years to stop and take a dedicated holiday off. Otherwise, burnout comes too quickly. Go have a margarita on the deck!
